Corrie & Skye

Corrie & Skye's beautiful cushions, fabrics & other home-wares are now for sale online. The company is the creation of Gemma Scott whose sister Jenny paints the colourful and often Scottish-inspired patterns for the fabrics. The underlying Scottish theme provided the inspiration for the antlers in the logo we designed.

Tigerchick have been involved at every step of the way, advising on the name, initial market research, logo design & branding, website design & build, photography including product photography, SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) & creating a bespoke, easy to use e-commerce system.

The site is designed to be highly flexible so all content can be easily changed as new products become available, the seasons change or new ranges are introduced.

It's simple & easily navigated with the products to the fore.  Presenting many diverse products in a manner that is not overwhelming to the user is a tough task for a designer. The filtering system seen in the shop is our solution to this.

The minimalist aesthetic of the website allows the product photography to speak for itself. It also means the design doesn't impose a style on the products or prevent future change through clashing.

The blog was included to feature press articles, insights into Corrie & Skye's process & home design ideas. This is an invaluable method for attracting diverse visitors to the site - part of the SEO strategy.

Gemma actively promotes her new business through offline channels - trade show and events, the press etc.  The website gives her the ability to sell directly online but also a strong web presence for her offline contacts & leads to follow up through.
