Travelling to Orkney, we photographed Castle's stunning interiors, surroundings, spa and wedding venue. Many of the photographs were the result of complex setups involving up to ten radio-triggered flash units, specialist panoramic equipment and high-end software. It is our firm belief that exceptional imagery is extremely important when designing a website.
An important aspect of the design was incorporating the estate's large number of activities on offer but in such a way that it become a pleasure to browse through them without becoming overwhelmed.
The tone of the design is intended to be respectful of the Castle's traditional values but at the same time clean and easy to use. Carefully considered typography and a coordination between the photography and the colour scheme of the site helps achieve this sensitive balance.
